Vintage Takamine NPT-012BS 1994Electric Acoustic Guitar This guitar is equipped with the jumbo-body electric acoustic guitar that was all the rage in the 90s and 00s, a model that became a hot topic after being used by a certain famous musician, commonly known as the “Aka-Pri.” Product description The brand “TAKAMINE” is loved by musicians around the world for its high quality, which is unique to Japanese-made electric acoustic guitars. This instrument is an electric acoustic guitar from the company’s original jumbo-body “000 Series,” a model that became all the rage in the 1990s and 2000s when a certain charismatic and popular musician used it as his main guitar on stage. Judging from the serial number, it is an early type made in 1994. Even though production has been discontinued, this guitar is so popular that there is a successor model in the lineup that has undergone minor changes with some specifications changed! [000 Series] *Manufacturer’s comment “The largest body shape in the series. The jumbo style boasts an overwhelming sense of volume, producing a powerful sound that responds well to hard picking strokes. You can enjoy their powerful performances not only on the live stage but also on the streets. The body is made of cedar top and rosewood back and sides, and the rich, natural sound that comes from its size is powerful yet warm, making it suitable not only for chord strokes but also for solo playing. Although the neck shape is different from the current model, it is still slim and the string height is Takamine’s typical low action, making for excellent playability. The preamp is “NPT”, a rare type commonly known as the “red preamp” because the slider LED lights up red. Because it allows for simple yet effective sound-making, it became the foundation for later Takamine preamps, and in addition to its functionality, it is also rarity and therefore trades at high prices on the market. When it was brought to our store, the preamp wasn’t working and it seemed like it might not be possible to use it as an electric acoustic guitar, but we have repaired and adjusted it and it can now be used without any problems. It is believed that a certain famous musician had a large influence, but there is no doubt that this is a masterpiece that helped make “Takamine electric acoustic guitars” widely known to the public! There are dents on the bottom right of the body top, scratches from picking around the sound hole, traces of repaired cracks in the paint on the side of the fingerboard, cracks in the binding at the base of the neck, multiple dents and scratches all over, and slight clouding of the paint, so it cannot be described as in perfect condition, but there is no damage that would interfere with playability and the overall condition is good, so it is ready to be used immediately on stage. About 70% of the frets remain (already filed), and the truss rod can be tightened to its limit, but the neck is currently straight. Also, a “HEAD WAY” hard case is included instead of the original case. It is not in perfect or mint condition, but I’m sure any player would like it, so if you’re interested, please consider purchasing it now.
