Offered for sale is a vintage International Watch Co. (IWC) wrist watch, made in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, probably ca. 1950s. IWC Schaffhausen watches are expensive connoisseurs’ collectable pieces that are produced by one of the finest quality watchmakers in the world. This watch features a stainless steel one piece case, a 21-jewel 852 calibre manual-wind movement, and a silver matte dial with luminous hour markers. The case is in excellent condition, showing signs of occasional wear. The movement runs and keeps excellent time. The dial is in fair original condition, and shows a patina appropriate for its age. The hands appear to have been re-lumed. Overall, a presentable watch that is ready to wear in style or present as a wonderful gift to a person who appreciates fine timepieces. This watch measures 35mm diameter (without crown) and 42mm lug-to-lug. Signed case, dial, and movement. Fitted with a leather strap.
