Welcome to Ashantee Music!Matching Exceptional Students With Quality Instruments One of several Buffet Crampon clarinets we are offering for sale. This is a vintage R13 in Bb, s/n 157XXX, 1975, right at the end of Buffet’s Golden Era and the year of their 150th Annversary. It is in very good condition: plating about 99% with a tiny bit of wear, but still polished up and great-looking. Wood is the great grenadilla one would expect from the period, with a tight, straight grain and no cracks or repairs. Repadded with double-bladder pads just prior to us acquiring it, and it has gone through our shop where it was bore oiled and tweaked slightly to bring it into excellent playing condition. Plays with a big, dark tone and excellent projection. Key oil and cork grease are for local pickup only, but it does include the vintage Buffet one-up, three-down hard rubber mouthpiece on a Riffault blank in a C facing, a Buffet cap and ligature with some wear, and the nice, slimline pochette case. A great horn in great condition from one of the most sought-after periods in Buffet history, and just in time for that tax refund!
