A rare opportunity to acquire this beautiful Swiss made 18 carat gold ‘Vacheron & Constantin Geneve’ pocket watch accompanied with original box signed Vacheron & Constantin’. The high grade 17 Jewel movement is signed Vacheron & Constantin Geneve. Housed in a four piece hinged case featuring personally inscribed case back cover with initials ‘WAMCS’ monogrammed hinged back. Top wind crown with time change. Beautiful engine turned poincon dial has applied Arabic numerals, 1/5th of a scale chapter ring and gold gilt Breguet hands with a subsidiary seconds dial at ‘6’ o clock. Signed ‘Vacheron Constantin Geneva’ 17 jewelled lever escapement high grade bi metallic split balance movement numbered 373006. The case is signed ‘Vacheron & Constantin Geneve’, Swiss essay marked 18K, numbered 244714, the movement dust cover bears Swiss essay marks 18K. Recently inspected and tested by a master horologist described as “Superb running order Keeping accurate time and functioning beautifully”. With careful use and if treated with care, this watch will make an excellent investment and heirloom piece which is ready use, treasure and enjoy! Vacheron Constantin is the oldest continuously operating watchmaker, with production extending all the way back to 1755. Vacheron’s attention to detail and strict quality standards limited their production capacity in the early 1900’s to very small numbers. Original Dial: Signed Vacheron & Constantin Geneve. Silvered poinçon engine turned Arabic numerals dial, chapter ring with 1/5th of a scale minute markers with red 24 hr markers, engine turned subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o'clock in excellent working order, gold gilt Breguet hands in good condition. Overall the silvered dial is in good condition. Has micro marks commensurate with age and wear there are no hairlines, cracks or noticeable marks. Patina to the 24 hr markers. Original Crystal: In good condition for age. Original Solid Gold Case: Polished solid gold stepped case measures 46.5mm without crown . Has surface hairline scratches associated with polished precious metals commensurate with age and wear. Hinges and case are in good condition overall. There are no deep scratches or dents. Original Case Back Cover Outer: Case back cover featuring personally inscribed 18 carat gold cuvette, monogrammed hinged back with initials ‘WAMCS’. Hinges are in good solid condition. Cover has surface hairline surface scratches associated with precious polished metals commensurate with age and wear. Clicks and pops, fits flush against case. Please observe photographs. No deep scratches or dents. Original Case Back Cover (Outer) Inner: Stamped Swiss essay mark 18K bearing V&C, (numbered) 244714. Has surface hairline scratches commensurate with age and wear associated with precious metals.
