The higher the temp within your engine bay, the less dense the air will be entering your intake, causing increased turbo spool times, lag and reduced fuel economy. A turbo heat shield is the cheapest and most effective method of reducing under-hood temperatures while protecting your vital components from deteriorating. These turbo heat shields use a lava rock fiber with a titanium woven mesh that resists temperatures up to 1500°C! They fit any small to medium sized turbocharger from a T25 to a GT37. Unlike cheaper heat shields, ours uses a round button-style attachment for the springs to ensure longer life and a secure fit even under the most aggressive acceleration conditions. These heat shields will reduce turbo spool time, decrease turbo lag, decrease engine bay temperatures, increase fuel economy and prevent damage to vital engine components like fuel lines, vacuum hoses, gaskets and filters. They also reduce coolant temp, oil temp, brake fluid temp, power steering fluid temp, etc… Professional installation is highly recommended.
