You are bidding on one Spiers wood infill rebate or shoulder plane as pictured. The body is marked “SPIERS AYR” and with owner “J CHALMERS” on the front end, and is unmarked on the back end.The iron is marked “WARD” with the WxP or Ward & Payne logo. The body measures about .750″ plus or minus a few thousandths in width along the sole. The iron measures about .732″ in width at the sharp end, or a bit narrower than the body. Overall length of the body is about 9-1/8″. The plane weighs 2 pounds 2.8 ounces on my postal scale.Except for the iron being very short, condition is generally very good. The body is very shiny, probably nickeled or polished, but there are quite a few small scratches and a couple of tiny rust spots. There are also some dings on the top of the body in the wood and the edges of the sides. The iron is also very shiny, and free from any pitting or rust. SHIPPING: 3 pounds when boxed, insurance is included. No International shipping. I sell what I enjoy, and I collect antique woodworking tools and I enjoy photography!
