California Prop 65 Warning:Old And Well Loved Chest
This very rare oriental chest/trunk is from the last part of the Qing Dynasty (circa 1895-1910). There is a false bottom with two hidden compartments on either side of the bottom drawer but I am unable to figure out out how to open it. It also has a tiny key which I have not been able to find a key hole for. It’s definitely a unique and mysterious chest. Measures: 18.25” long 17.5” tall 12” deep The lid was not originally hinged – the hinges were added later in the 20th century. All the other hardware is original to the era.
