This is the VERY RARE Signal Seeking – Automatic Tuning AM Seek / Scan Radio. This radio was only installed on the early 70-71 240Z Datsuns in very limited numbers. This radio is correct for 70-71 240Z Datsun’s. It will also fit and connect in 72-73 240Z’s with NO Modifications. These radios are Extremely RARE. We have only had one other for sale this past year. This radio has been fully disassembled and the tuning mechanism has been completely Cleaned, Inspected, Repaired, Restored, Lubricated, and THOROUGHLY Tested. Every possible Electronic work was performed on this radio. ALL 8 Electrolytic Capacitors were replaced to assure you of long trouble free operation of the radio. All the i.f. Transformers were tuned for best radio operation. Wires, connectors, and fuse holder are all as they should be. All electrical connectors have been replaced with new connectors. Connector housings have been cleaned and in great condition. Includes the Antenna Up/Down Switch. Antenna Switch was Disassembled, and Cleaned Internally. Antenna Switch Contacts were cleaned and polished. Switch was Lubricated, and Re-Assembled. Antenna Switch works AS NEW. Antenna Switch has new Electrical Connectors. The Auto Tuning Switch Contacts have been Polished and Cleaned. All Switches and Controls have been Cleaned, Adjusted, and Tested. The radio works absolutely perfect AS NEW. The AM Radio sounds just like it should. Has Local / DX (Distant) switch. When you push the Automatic tuning button the radio automatically scans and tunes in stations across the AM band. The Dial Light and Power Light both work and are Brand New. Tuning Set Push Buttons all work. The Complete Radio works AS NEW. Flawlessly. The Face Plate is in Very Nice Condition. It is a New Reproduction Face Plate. NO Cracks in the screw holes. The model number for this Hitachi Radio is TM-1081ZB . Photo is the Actual Radio you will receive. Over 200 hours went into the Restoration of this radio. We are NOT offering returns on this item. The reason is these are delicate electronic instruments, and we have no control over what happens to this item once it leaves our shop. IF any questions, please ask.
