This is the 258 edition first issued in 1965 with a black outline ‘Saint’ emblem. Later in its production it had a blue paper label and then a red paper label as in this case. The red label edition is often found with cast wheels but this has the usual shaped wheels so it is quite a scarce variation and not many to be found.The paintwork is very good with just wear on the raised edges such as the rear fins and side ‘chrome’ strip and a small chip on the roof. The screens are all clean and clear and the red paper label is original. It is a little worn in places but the Saint figure is clear.The wheels are good with original tyres ad the base is very clean.There is a range of other models available at my own website – just enter corgi.toys in your browser – where full details, more photos and discounted prices can be found. These include the 2021 Corgi Model Club re-issue of the standard 258 model with a cream background to teh logo which has been discontinued, a 2023 release having a clear background and acknowledgement text on the base too. The first model is likely to become scarce in time. It comes as new with original box and packaging and a certificate. A photo is included with this listing. My price includes postage and packing within the UK, items usually being despatched within 48 hours of receipt of funds.
