These files are for mod creators to use them in their truck mods.

I suppose most of you already know how to hook sound files but just in case:

Open Snowrunner>en_us>preload>paks>client>shared_sound.pak with winrar and replace the files you want.

Then open Snowrunner>en_us>preload>paks>client>initial.pak with winrar and continue media>classes>trucks

There you find the vehicle xml file and open it with notepad.

In xml file go to sound lines, find and change its name to whatever your sound file name is.

To clarify any confusion, as written in summary, these sound files are extracted from GTAV via OpenIV.

To install:
– Open init.pak with WinRar (if Winrar cannot open a .pak file, right click on the .pak file and go to properties > Opens With and choos “WinRar”) –> (Default file location C:Program FilesEpic GamesSnowRunneren_uspreloadpaksclient)
– In WinRar, browse to MediaClassesTrucks
– Extract the downloaded file to your downloads folder
– Open a new Windows Explorer window and browse to the downloaded file and drag it into winrar. A popup will ask you to do something
– Choose under compression method: “Store” and press “OK”
– Close Winrar and start the game

Coop: Subscribe button: This mod won’t work in COOP
Manual: This mod works in COOP but the mod runs Client side meaning the other player will see your vehicle and are able to use it but they hear the standard engine sounds

How to install:
– Copy files inside Archive (out_reverase sound) into Your Game location – (Your local disk)\Epic Games\SnowRunner\en_us\preload\paks\client
– Then open archive “Shared_sound.pak” (using Winrar/winzip or any other archive opener) and open sound\trucks and overwrite existing files inside it

Note:
– First make a Backup of “trucks” (must make)
– If you have any issues inside the game after installing this mod, copy above backup files to “(Your local disk)\Epic Games\SnowRunner\en_us\preload\paks\client\Shared_sound.pak\sound\ and remove existing “Trucks” folder

You all probably know my previous versions of sounds for the classic Spintires and for Mudruner. In this pack, I present my slicing of sounds from the classic video “gearbox on a canopy”, which adds even more sounds from the legendary video.
