Adult owned & well maintained by me, for my octogenarian parents, gently used from 2016 to 2022, all of us non-smoking. It did not come to me in the original box, and will be shipped in a plain brown cardboard box with proper stabilization & padding. Highest possible Mac OS 10.13.6 High Sierra has been freshly installed, the Admin = New User, Password is 123. You can easily create a new Admin user in Users & Groups with your own password, restart into that, and delete the existing one. Regular testing and maintenance done via an external TechTool 11 Boot Drive, and again before OS reinstall.Everything passed 100% including the lengthy Surface Scan test and free space wiped multiple times before the new OS install.There were no bad pixels in the display or bad blocks on the hard drive. This has never been opened for service or upgrades other than the user-accessible RAM cover on bottom edge. This has been a great computer, although deemed “obsolete” by Apple, was still running the Firefox v115.16.1esr browser and BitDefender for security, whereas Safari (v11.1.2 here) is long obsolete and is a security risk to use. But if you have some legacy software or hardware needing Firewire 800 for peripherals, just want to run iTunes (12.7.4 here) with the Visualizer, or have young kids needing a first Mac experience, this is great.
