UPGRADE Conversion was Reissue Genuine Hofner Tea Cup Knobs, Cream Plastic Switches & Genuine LaBella Flatwound Short Scale Bass Strings This is a great LEFTY Recreating the style of the 1964 version, the SB and the BK versions feature a sustain block inside the body to give modern, deep-resonating bass sounds while still retaining the original Hofner Beatles bass sound. With a short scale of 30″ and the small violin bass body it is one of greatest electric bass guitars ever made. Specifications * laminate Spruce top (like the originals) * laminate Maple Body (like the originals) * internal sustain block to increase feedback rejection *fingerboard with 22 frets. * Original Höfner HS11B ‘Staple-Top’ pick-ups. * 76 mm short scale length. * 42 mm saddle width. * Nickel plated hardware. * Vintage vibe Hofner control panel with 2 volume controls, 2 circuit breakers, Rhythm/Solo switches for volume Boost.( Switches are cream plastic not painted ) * Sunburst finish. Strings are LaBella Flat Wound This violin-shaped model is commonly referred to as the “Beatle bass.” With authentic details inspired by the original, the Hofner Vintage Style Bass makes the legendary violin bass available to the rest of us. Don’t get the idea that this a just a “nowhere man” look-alike. This quality instrument features a spruce top and beautiful flamed maple back and sides. The semi-hollow body and set neck will give you the warm, round tone you expect from the violin bass.
