At this auction offers a very good and very quality Russian portret lens MC JUPITER-9, 2/85 mm for 35mm SLR camera with mount M42. The lens is very good condition. Aperture is work very good. Glass is in excellent condition. Nice symmetrical shape to the diaphragm. Normal focus rotation and the diaphragm blades works accurately at every aperture position. Optics: no haze or fungus. No scratches. The lens is in very good working and cosmetic condition. There is a small amount of internal dust as to be expected of a lens of this vintage. With the appropriate adapter, this lens can be used on any model and type of camera. Many people use these kind on lenses with adapter on the new mirrorless formats of Bolex, Micro 4/3, Sony Nex, Nikon J1, V1. It lets you snap vibrant, clear images, even in low lighting conditions. This makes it ideal for macro, portrait, and indoor photography. A set of 15 curved diaphragm blades in the casing allow you to use the lens to create unique background effects, and a 0.8m minimum focus distance means you take clear, close-up macro pictures. The 15-blade iris forms a perfect circle at every aperture setting, so you never need to worry about harsh hexagonal or octagonal edging. Lower f-stops, such as f/2, may produce some vignetting, while higher f-stops, such as f/4, eliminate this effect. This Zeiss Jupiter lens is designed to keep out the elements, which protects its inner workings from dust and moisture. The optical lenses inside the lens case are coated with multiple layers of a protective, performance-enhancing coating to give you professional-quality results. This feature of the Carl Zeiss 85mm f/2 lens affords a soft, haloed focus at f/2 and a very sharp focus at an aperture of f/2.8 to f/4. The coating also serves to improve light transmission and reduce lens flare. With a close macro focus, this lens produces a stunning bokeh effect. It is an excellent option for outdoor photography as it is designed to function well in most kinds of weather, from sunny to foggy to cold. The standard mount is an M42. Use this lens with an adapter. Various mount adapters may be compatible, including Nikon mounts as well as M42 to EF adapters.
