COMMENTSThis coin is an excellent way for the more discriminating collector to acquire an attractive superb gem condition Oregon Trail. This specimen has an overall lovely base of honey-gold-champagne hues on both sides with splendidly blended pockets of various rainbow spectrum tone as your eyes cede to the edges. The coin is free of displeasing distractions such as scratches, scuffs, spots, and luster breaks. The surface has consistent strong lustrous sheen to highlight the smooth surfaces framed in devices that are very strongly struck. While this first year San Francisco produced Oregon isn’t tough to obtain in Gem, it’s a far different case for this Superb Gem + grade! For the more discriminating collector looking to add an original superb gem Oregon Trail to his/her portfolio, this item is an excellent option! Of all the 1892 to 1954 Classic Commemoratives, the Oregon Trail is one of the most popular and generally commands a premium with all else equal.
