Commissioned by Mr. Luis Antonio Rodríguez, to commemorate his 45 years of research and publishing articles on Puerto Rico Numismatics, Exonumia, and Medals, since 1966. Mr. Rodriguez has published 542 articles on most major local newspapers, as well as 10 specialized magazines, and also has its own publishing company, Ediciones Arybet, through which he has published more than half a dozen books. Its anverse reads ARYBET Editorials, (of Mr.) Luis Antonio Rodriguez, (of ) Ponce (Puerto Rico) 45 years of writing (the) Numismatics (history of ) in Puerto Rico. As a visual detail, it features an Owl, which in ancient Greece simbolized the search for knowledge and wisdom, in this case the search for knowledge in local numismatics. Its reverse shows picturesque vignettes on things Puerto Rico is well known for, as is its peculiar wildlife and Caribbean music. It also holds a map of the main island, and a face value of $5 in merchandise.
